"Being Ginger" Wins Best International Doc at Global Visions Film Festival May 16 2014

Washington, DC, and Edmonton, Alberta - WISSELVALLIG FILMS and GARDEN THIEVES PICTURES are pleased to announce that Being Ginger was awarded "Best International Documentary" out of a strong field of films at Edmonton's Global Visions Film Festival. The film, listed among New York Times "Critics' Picks,"has been garnering positive reviews for its lighthearted look at modern dating while also containing a strong social message about the long-term effects of childhood bullying. We extend our congratulations to director Scott P. Harris and the Being Ginger team on this wonderful accomplishment. 

Being Ginger will open theatrically in Canada at Toronto's Kingsway Theatre on June 6. There will also be a special screening at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema on June 10, also in Toronto, which will include a Q&A with the filmmaker, Scott P. Harris. 

The film will continue to screen at select theaters in the United States throughout the summer, including an upcoming week-long run in Portland, OR, at The Clinton Street Theater with the following showtimes:
